The Summerlad's main attribute seems to be that with them, you're never quite sure what sounds are about to come at you, but you know they're going to blow you away. Since 1999, the band has been refining their concoction of heavy rock, shoegaze, ambient and pop in a way that's become truly their own.

"Blue Skinned," The Summerlad's fourth full-length album, sees a return to the rock song form for the Calgary three-piece. The album is a definitive instalment in The Summerlad's series of music meant for listening to on a good sound system, ideally at a volume that would displease your parents.
